At Equiem, we're proud of our Product Team. And we want to make sure everyone knows it. Read our first Product Team Profile, focused on one of our most recent additions – Product Manager Helene Nancy.
Equiem is committed to creating software perfectly suited to our clients and their workflows. No matter how complicated or unique the implementation, we believe that Equiem is a platform versatile enough to get the job done. Central to that belief is a product team than can effectively manage the journey from client need to delivered software solution.
We'll be highlighting the people of our Product Team over the coming weeks. We're excited about this team, and we think you will be too, once you get to know them! This week, we sat down with Helene – one of our more recent Product Team members – to find out a little more about her.

Where are you from, Helene?
"I was born and raised in Normandy, France. However, I very quickly started exploring other territories! I studied in the UK, worked in Lithuania, and finally moved to Australia 12 years ago as I got offered a job opportunity in Sydney."
What's your educational background?
"I have a dual degree in international business law and marketing and communications, which illustrates my personality perfectly! I'm analytical and I love problem-solving, but I'm also very creative and people-focused."
What led you to Equiem?
"Over the past 15 years, I've worked across Travel, Construction, and Property in product management, as well as in corporate communications and innovation roles.
"I joined Equiem just before Xmas, and I'm very excited to work with a proptech business that's so focused on simplifying the engagement between all the parties in the property ecosystem.
"We're navigating a new landscape. Employees' and tenants' needs have really shifted, and tech offerings have multiplied exponentially. The industry needs to adapt."
What does it mean to be a Product Manager?
"Equiem's product managers are at the nexus of many departments in the business — including sales, marketing, engineering, legal, and more. We represent the voice of the customers, so we need to make sure to speak with them weekly!
"We're here to make sure the product offering remains relevant and meets the needs of our customers today and anticipate their needs for tomorrow!"
What is your guiding goal at Equiem?
"Hold "why" tightly and "how" lightly! Mandela said, "Vision without action is just a dream, action without vision just passes the time, and vision with action can change the world". Not that I think I can change the world... but staying true to Equiem's vision and taking action towards achieving this vision every day is what's driving me!"
Tell us something fun about yourself!
"I always like to take new challenges and a couple of years ago I picked up motorbike racing (for fun) which I really enjoy! I'm learning new skills and pushing myself each time to be comfortable with the uncomfortable. (Covid and the rain this summer have not really helped recently but I can't wait to get properly back into it over winter)."
